  1. We made considerable progress through collective agreements at one point. What can be done now to improve contracts to push back on sexist retrenchment?

  2. A good question. Many of our colleagues across the country report that equity issues are taking a back seat to fighting the neoliberal agenda more generally. This will sound depressing to anyone who knows the history of early progressive movements, when women’s issues were frequently sidelined. One hopes that we have come far enough that awareness of equity issues — expanded well beyond the notion of gender equity — has come to permeate all that we do (says she piously).
